Arm, step away, return with your PIN.

These docs cover the current desktop build. Phone pairing and cloud relay are future companion features, not requirements for protection.

Install Paunix Guard, create a PIN in the setup wizard, choose the starter protection settings, and continue into the main app.

Click Start Guard when the laptop is positioned and connected as expected. A short grace period prevents immediate false alarms from setup movement.

Enter your PIN on the guard screen or alarm window. Two wrong PIN attempts trigger the alarm as a brute-force protection measure.

Velopack-installed builds can check for updates while idle. If the guard is armed, disarm before installing an update.
